After my last post on handling rejections, here is one more. Here is all how it unfolded.
I presently go for treks with one group in Bangalore. I do not want to name the group. I also am involved in some not so important voluntary activity of the group and also participated in a social event organized by the group.
So there was this so called 2 day trek organized by this group and the organizer being XXX.
About organizer XXX I had got some feedback, saying there shall be ragging sessions at the end of the day, where a person is literally asked to do something which he is not interested in. This feedback was same across 3 different sets of people who had participated with this organizer.
As a result, in the registration form, I mentioned that, I wish not to be ragged or asked anything to do which I am not interested in. And can you guess what happened after that, I got rejected.
As per the group's policy person taking part in social event gets the first priority callup. Now out of nowhere I had to deal with another rejection. I could have escalated this. But since the group is a free service provider anyone can act as per their fancies. So I had to swallow the bitter pill.
Never mind, I still remember the two construction worker kids on an early morning, who were very satisfied with their packet of buiscuits unaware of what is happening in Kudremukh!
I have a long term goal in mind. So I need to work on that.
As I complete this post, found this nice article on DLM!

Cheers,
PS - This has got nothing to do with me expressing hatred towards someone. Its just about a point where everything we expect just does not happen. We have to deal with rejections.
