Another week comes to an end..

Yet another week comes to an end.. Its been a fun week. Now weekend, spending some time at the browsing center, as well as Little India.. Kinda settled into the new environment. Workplace seems to be cool, I get going by early 7 30 am, and come back by 7 pm.

Travel is involved but nothing as compared to the one I did in Bangalore.

Bangalore is Bangalore

A week away from Bangalore, India, I realize Bangalore is Bangalore. There is nothing close to being at home and being at Bangalore. I used to hit the highways on weekends with pretty ease. I would drive a lot, infact lot, 100+ kms within half a day on Saturday. Now I am gonna miss all those things.

Yes for sure. But this is an altogether different experience. Sometime in my life I had to spend time out on my own. I have been with my parents for all these years, now was the time to stop thinking about luxury leisure etc etc and it was the right time to get some right exposure.

I see loads of cars in Singapore, all are of different makes. You name a make of car, there you have it in Singapore. I saw one Scorpio parked the other day over here. Apart from that, I can see lot of Swifts. Apart from that, I see Pulsar bikes here and there and also Yamaha Rx100.

So found a cyber center which is cheaper than the previous one with 1$ per hour. So am into it again.

Yesterday evening had been to Mustafa's center on Syed Alwi road, which is pretty close to where I reside. In the shopping center, I bumped into my friend, with whom I spent the next two hours. We were chatting, sitting in front of the shopping center, meanwhile his friends were busy shopping as they were leaving to India by Monday.

Finally, they could not find a cab on the busy Syed Alwi road and I decided to show them Lavender MRT.

To their chance, they spotted a cab and off they went.

Also had been to the Expo at Suntec City Mall. Found a laptop from acer for 1198$ i5 processor 4 GB RAM, loads of goodies with it. But I feel, it was too early for me to buy a laptop. Will wait for some more time.

So till next time..

Reached on 5th June, started with work on 7th June

Yes.. I finally relocated to Singapore on 5th june 2010. And its been a week, now that I am kinda adjusted to this place and joined work as well, I have a now found a cyber center where in I could punch in few lines.

First of all, let me tell you something, in my 26 yrs of existance, I have never stayed away from my parents. Not even for a month's time etc etc. I have never travelled alone without my parents to other town ie away from Bangalore.

Now I was in a situation where in I had to relocate to a different country altogether, stay away from parents, relatives etc etc. But I accepted the offer, it is a good learning for me.

Thats it for today. I do not have a laptop to keep posting regularly.

Thanks God for this wonderful opportunity, to learn, to grow up. I would like to thank Goddess Mahalaxmi of  Goravanahalli, my prayers are answered. Thanks God.

Cheers,
Sandeep

A special thanks going out to special people

I would like to thank God for whatever I am today. I had been to Goravanahalli Sri Laxmi Goddess temple in the month of February. I had written a previous post about the same, but I had not written as to what I had prayed for.

So here it goes..

I had prayed to Goddess to relieve me of my current job, ( which involved travelling to ITPL ) and also requested for some luck in finding a new job

Infact I would like to write that, my prayers have been answered. I now have a brand new, different workplace, to report to.  Thank you Goddess for answering my prayers.

I also have loads of people to thank.
> My teachers.
> My parents
> My mentors who taught me .NET
> My friends at my ex organization Satish, Sharath and Naveen.

Out the blues.. finally...

Friday, 28 May 2010 , was my last day at my previous organization. Everything went really really well. Came home with kinda happy feeling. Next day, I had a house warming function to attend. Somehow made my mind, to attend the function and did the same. But my body was pulling me to one side.

Past one month had been a total drain out for me. I travel close to 70 kms per day. Apart from that, weekends also had loads of travel for me. So finally I gave up. Saturday evening, I realized I had bad flu coupled with throat infection.

Two days and I was completely on antibiotics. Since yesterday, I am on a little higher dose. Friday 4th being one of the important days of my life. Loads of things to look forward. Hoping the grass is greener on the other side.

If not also, I have no one to blame. If I succeed in doing whatever I have planned, I shall have another story to tell, else I surely have failure as an option. But I have tried.

So as of now, happy with my antibiotics and listening to Peter Frampton - Show me the way..

Apart from that, washing my clothes and getting ready for Friday.

One of my closest friends and mentors., Chandrashekar S K is getting married on 4th June. Here s wishing him a happy married life in advance. Its sad, I cannot attend his marriage nor reception. But yes, I am very very happy for him.

He is the one who taught me .NET. So thanks to him..

Cheers,
Sandeep
