Why is it so???

I still am not able to come to terms with my rejections happening in the last few interviews. I am getting rejected because of so many reasons. I need to up my basics, technical skills, etc etc in the coming year, else I will end up doing people management only. [Need to write a broad post outlining the reasons for my rejections in the interviews which I am still not sure.]

Recently I came to know that, a top notch guy of an IT company had quit his job and opened his own organization. I thought finally someone had taken the guts to go SOLO technical. When I came to know about the reality, it was not surprising.

The top notch IT guy had opened a consultancy company on his own. He never ventured into going into technical, writing his own product from ground up, selling it to someone, marketing etc etc. This GEEKS versus SUITS battle is a historic one.

I guess in India the SUITS win handsomely. All you need is to have a bunch of software engineers under your payroll and send them to various clients as and when required. The risk is less.

Where as writing something from ground up, breaking lots of head on technical stuff, covering all requirements, making it work over a period of few years and then again marketing the same, is nothing but burning your own hand, and that too the outcome is still unsure.

So in India, I can expect only such kind of companies, but if its other countries, I sincerely hope we can find people who have the guts, capability to develop software solutions on their own, and sell it on their own too.

Not sure, when there shall be a turn around of things, where in we can find people in India, venturing into something on their own, TECHNICALLY, and not just sending people here and there just to get money over their billing amount [per hour].

Anyways, its up to individuals, and yes congrats to this gentleman who has opened his own manpower organization, atleast, he has the guts to do so, I can only afford to mention it on my blog, but not emulate the same.

Cheers,
Sandeep

Back in India.. lots of things to write

Its almost a month since I came back to bangalore. I have loads of things to write, but till now held it back, because I wanted to start writing with my visit to Goddess Mahalaxmi temple at Goravanahalli. Unfortunately I havent been able to visit this temple during the last one month.

And I believe its the same reason why I have not landed up with a good offer. I have loads of things to write about my interviews over the last one month, why I lost 3-4 interviews in the managerial round, just because of the CATTLE CLASS attitude, etc etc. Yup hopefully I get to visit the temple pretty soon and join a new workplace.

Till then,
Cheers,
